Our English-speaking guide and skilled driver will pick you up at your Kunming hotel and transfer you to Dali Ancient Town and your hotel inside the quiet town.

The first lag of our Dali tour is the Three Pagodas where we can see how the pagodas arising without any foundation could magically still survive and recover themselves from the past earthquakes. Return to your Dali hotel and the rest time is left free for you to explore the surroundings.

Make an early transfer to Xizhou village with your guide and driver. Fresh veg picks and caughts and other goods are hawked by the nearby farmers and fishers along the street which lined with the well-preserved Bai architecture. Mingle in the minority-dressed locals to bargain for some local specials. Shut out the market bustle in the local residences where the layout and decoration details can well display the Bai minority's architecture talent and art originality.

Continue our tour way to Zhoucheng Village that is known for its traditional skill craft--tie dye. Every local family masters this craftsmanship--the cotton is skillfully dyed and sewed in thousands of ways with the pure plant as the dyeing material.

Farewell to this Bai-minority Dali and drive to Naxi-minority-dominated Lijiang and enjoy your own free time in this old town.

Make a morning transfer from your hotel and start the town tour. Black Pool Park, on the northern edge of the old town, is advised for you to take in and snap shots of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain view. The Dongba Research Institute on the hillside features the culture artifacts and pictograph scripts of Naxi minority.

Then head to Baisha village search the Naxi root in the rural Baisha village. Read the life stories of different religions in the Baisha mural paintings if you are interested. Visit the most-admired man in the Baisha--Dr. Ho in his herb medicine clinic and know more about the magic medical use of pure plant roots or leaves.

Next let's drive to and ascend the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain via the cable car to view the breathtaking glacier. You can also tread through cliff path to reach the peak of the mountain to take in more grand snow scene.

Descend the mountain and call it a day by driving back to Lijiang Old Town.

Meet the guide and driver at your hotel as previous days before the wild tour.

Drive to marvel at the First Bend of Yangtze River dotted with the lush forest and cloud-shrouded mounts nearby. Feel your draw hit your chest at the awe-inspiring Tiger Leaping Gorge following the ancient Stone Drum Village. Then proceed to tour Shangri-La county, formerly known as Zhongdian, and transfer to your hotel.

Make a morning excursion to Bitahai Lake, about 25 km east from Shangri-La County. Here optional pony trip can be taken to go through a pretty forest and down to the lake. Your eyes will be feasted with a pagoda-like hill and the surrounding trees with their reflection on the tranquil lake.

The next stop is clear Shudu Lake embraced by the dense forests. The lakeshore is a pasture for herds of cows and sheep. Tibetan farm touch can be experienced here.

Continue the tour to Songzanlin Monastery which has a 300-year-old history and ranks as the most important in southwest China. Here you will get to know the culture characteristic of monastic architecture and the mural (Thangka) as well as the Buddhist scripture. Meanwhile, you can also get chance to chat and sip Tibetan butter tea with living Buddha in the monastery.

Heavy Tibet touch can be found in the Square Street of 1,300-year old town with the Tibetan medicines, yak goods, the Tibetan dance in the square, the giant wheel prayer, etc. White stupas can be seen everywhere and Scripture Chamber hidden within the old town originally was constructed for commemorating the Red Army. And a commanding view of the town district is available on the nearby Guishan Park.

Call it a day and return to your hotel with your guide and driver.

Transfer to airport for your Kunming flight and then have an accompanied drive to your Kunming hotel. Or you can also conclude the tour in Lijiang.
