Crowne Plaza Kunming City Centre (formerly Bank Hotel) is a 5-to-10-minute walk from the city center and main shopping pedestrian streets. Many restaurants and convenient stores gather around the hotel. The relocated Changshui airport is a 30-minute drive away while the railway station requires a 15-minute transfer.
The hotel, taken over by the Intercontinental, has been renovated and rebranded to Crowne Plaza from the former Bank Hotel Kunming in April 2014. The newly renovated rooms are clean and spacious and complete in facilities with free Wi-Fi. The balcony in some rooms affords nice views. Camellia Chinese Restaurant, Atrium Café, the newly-opened Wildfire restaurant with beef steaks, lobby lounge and 399 Bar offer different dining options to the guests. There are also regular five-star amenities like the health club and outdoors swimming pool.
