The Beijing Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel is the former residence of Mr. Ji Xiaolan, the gifted Secretary of Grand Council of the Qing Dynasty. In his day he was the highest ranking citizen in China's imperial official hierarchy. Situated in the quadrangle historic preservation of center of the city, the majestic historical hotel is adjacent to the subway and to most major bus lines. The National Gallery and Wangfujing Street are within comfortable walking distance to the hotel.
Steeped in Chinese culture and history, the hotel features classical furnishings of the Ming and the Qing Dynasty style, along with decorations of Chinese calligraphy and paintings, antiques, Beijing folk handicrafts and arts and crafts of varied Chinese cultures.
