Sakura Hotel Kunming is not central to the actions--about 3 minute cab ride is required to reach the city center and 10-15 minute to Green Lake. The airport transfer takes about 10 minutes. It is surrounded by several western cafes, fast food, supermarkets. The public buses nearby are handy to some attractions and shopping streets.
The average-sized rooms are clean and reasonably equipped. Yet some rooms and facilities are a bit tired and upgrade is needed.
