The Zen Garden Hotel Wuyi Branch is a local-run little residence inside the Lijiang Old Town, only 200 meters away from the Sifang Street.
The cozy and tranquil feeling penetrates throughout the hotel: traditional looking, authentic antiques, a simple teahouse with occasional painting demonstrations, fish pond and tank, pagodas, the morning occasional flute playing, etc. The second floor porch is nice place to capture the morning tranquility and night color of the old town. The rooms are clean and traditionally decorated.
If you want to immerse in the ambiance of living in Old Lijiang, you could start it in this charming oasis of calm. The rooms are few and an early reservation is required.
