Published on March 22, 2015 by Barbara

Beijing opened second tourist tramcar route on 18th March. The route travels from Qianmen and covers some famous scenic spots like Wangfujing, Forbidden City, Beihai, Tian'anmen. A bilingual guide is available on the tramcar to introduce the scenic areas and the relevant history in Mandarin and English. The ticket costs RMB 15/person (RMB 10/person with E-card).

Tramcar gets the nickname of "Dangdang Tram" for the bell ringing to warn pedestrians of their approach. The first tourist tramcar route opened in Beijing in 2014 and was quite popular with tourists to experience old Beijing flavor and learn about history of the capital.
