This May 1 was the first anniversary for the public bike system of the West Lake which has stood out and received its favor as a brand-new way to explore the lake. Since the West Lake is opened to the tourist, some public buses with the professional guide have been considerately arranged to run around the lake's spots to facilitate the tourist's sightseeing. But this is far beyond their satisfaction to appreciate the picturesque view. Thus biking around the lake has made its appearance and yet the shorter touring time by bike never dims the enjoyment. In some sense, for the tourist, the bicycle tour has added more fun taste to the travel and further contributed to the deeper impression about the destination even in the brief touring days.
