The annual Spring Festival transportation period is about half a month away. And every year in this peak transportation time, the train ticket purchase has become a nightmare for train travel passengers.
The official train ticket website 12306.com was launched last year but it hadn't brought much convenience for its constant system breakdowns. This year, the website has been upgraded and expanded, but the breakdown is still possible under the huge visit influx, according to the Ministry of Railways.
Compared with the unsteady website reservation, calling to make the purchase seems more feasible. With the upgraded telephone ticketing system on 1st,Jan.,2013, the train tickets can be collected at any ticket window or ticket agent with extended 12 hours after the reservation.
