Dunhuang Ancient City will be Restored to Boost Tourism

It was reported that Dunhuang government would invest 3 billion CNY to rebuilt Dunhuang ancient city, aiming to deeper reveal city culture and promote the Dunhuang tourism and economic market.

Dunhuang ancient city, 1,132 meters long and 718 meters wide, was a place of strategic importance of Silk Road and yet was abandoned in middle of Qing Dynasty. The restored ancient city, with theme of Han and Tang culture as well as Silk Road civilization, will serve as a good complex destination of historic site tour, exhibition, business traveling, artistic creation, food specialties, etc.
