Mexico Tourism department planned to invest 100 million U.S. dollar to publicize tourism in order to win back tourists. It is said that the swine flu has made many hotels and hostels closed and the Mexico tourism industry has suffered great loss.
In order to reduce tourism damage, the national tourism department indicated that no swine flu was found in several famous scenic spots of Mexico and people could feel at ease and come to Mexico for tour. Some hotels even promised: Once tourists were infected with the swine flu during their stay, they could get 3 complimentary holiday chances.
