Four New Channels will Connect Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau

Published on December 16, 2009 by Irene

Four new channels connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau will be built to facilitate these places' transfer. Besides the constructing Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, the other 3 channels are respectively Guangzhou-Shenzhen Riverine Expressway, Shenzhen-Hong Kong East Channel, Guangzhou-Zhuhai West Line 3. Besides, Humen Second Bridge and Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel will be built to ease transportation pressure between two sides of Pearl River Delta. It is worth mentioning that Guangzhou-Shenzhen Riverine Expressway will run into operation in 2012. It stretches over 89 km and is considerably shorter than the present Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway. Then it will just need 1.5 hours to transfer from Guangzhou to Hong Kong.
