Hong Kong-Shenzhen High-speed Rail to Open in 2017

Yitianlu Tunnel finished its construction on 29th December, completing all the building work of Shenzhen section of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen high-speed railway. Hong Kong section of this railway is expected to open in 2017. By then, travel time from Hong Kong (West Kowloon) to Shenzhen (Futian) will be only around 15 minutes. The opening of Hong Kong-Shenzhen high-speed railway in 2017 will also mark the full operation of Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed railway.
