Published on September 2, 2016 by Barbara

Kunming-Guiyang Rail is expected to open in the end of November if the test runs and adjustments, followed by the completed Guizhou Beipanjiang Bridge construction, could proceed smoothly.

Kunming-Guiyang Rail is the last uncompleted section of Shanghai-Kunming high-speed rail. The Shanghai-Kunming high-speed rail, with a designed speed of 350 km/h, stretches 2,266 km and passes main cities like Hangzhou, Nanchang, Changsha and Guiyang. Its full operation will shorten the whole train journey of Shanghai-Kunming to 9 hours from the present 37 hours.
