Lanzhou-Xinjiang High-speed Rail Opened on 26th December 2014

Lanzhou-Xinjiang high-speed railway opened on 26th December as the first plateau high-speed rail in China. The 1776-km railway has a total of 21 stops covering Lanzhou, Xining, Zhangye, Jiuquan, Jiayuguan, Kumul, Turpan and Urumqi. The whole journey takes less than 12 hours and costs RMB 658 for first class and RMB 548.5 for second class.

On the same day, Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway and Nanning-Guangzhou high-speed railway were put into service as well.

The Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway has 20 stops covering Guiyang North, Sanduxian, Guilin North, Hezhou and Guangzhou South. The whole trip takes 5.5 hours and is RMB 320 for first class and RMB 266.5 for second class.

The 4-hour Nanning-Guangzhou high-speed train trip is RMB 206.5 for first class and RMB 172 for second class.
