Nanluoguxiang Closed To Tourist Groups On 25th April

Nanluoguxiang has started to ban tourist groups on 25th April and has had itself excluded from the list of national 3A-level attractions in order to control the tourist crowd and lessen impacts on the neighborhoods and daily life of the residents in the lane. However, it still opens to independent visitors and individual tourists.
It is reported that this 787-meter-long lane used to receive about 30,000 tourists a day, 50, 000 on the weekend and even up to 100, 000 in special holiday, far exceeding its capacity of 17, 000 visits.
