The Shanghai Taxi Fares Go Up

A new regulation on the Shanghai taxi fares has been carried out since October 11. The flag-down fare for a taxi in Shanghai city has been adjusted from CNY11 to CNY12, and the charge on each additional kilometer has also went up to CNY2.4 per km from CNY2.1 per km.
In addition, middle bus in the city and taxi in the suburb regions also respectively adjusted flag-down fare correspondingly from CNY16 to CNY17 and CNY 9 to CNY10. The charge for the additional kilometer is the same as the Shanghai city taxi.
Stated in the price mechanism that Shanghai city established for its taxi operation in 2006, the taxi operation price would be adjusted annually based on the market oil price.
