Shangri-la Dukezong Old Town To Reopen In October

Part of destroyed area of Dukezong Old Town in Shangri-la is going to open in National Day Holiday after the restoration is completed. The remaining burnt area is expected to get fully restored and open by the end of the year.
This 1,300-year-old town is known for its well-preserved Tibetan-style dwellings. A huge winter fire in 2014 started from one guesthouse had destroyed hundreds of the town's wooden houses.
