Popular Scenic Spots Require Visit Reservation during National Day Holiday

To ease the tourist crowd problem, some popular scenic spots start to require visit reservation, especially during the week-long National Day Holiday. The following is a list of general information for the scenic spots adopting visit reservation policy.

Mogao Grottoes applies online visit reservation with a maximum of 6, 000 tickets a day from 11th September.

Potala Palace requires visit reservation from 1st May to 30th October. Tourists can make online reservation for the next day's visit on Potala Place official website or reserve ticket at the ticket reservation points. What's more, a maximum of 4,000 visitors a day is allowed to enter the site.

Kanas Scenic Area admits a maximum of 8, 000 for admission a day. Therefore, visit reservation online in advance is advised.

Daocheng Yading requires online ticket reservation from 1st to 7th October. The scenic area will only allow 5, 100 online entries, which is to say, all tourists will need to book the ticket online instead of purchasing the ticket on the spot during the National Day Holiday.

Huangguoshu scenic area will apply online ticket reservation during National Day Holiday, limiting 30, 000 tourists a day.
