Air China Starts In-flight Wi-Fi

CA1405 of Air China started a trial of in-flight Wi-Fi service on its Beijing-Chengdu air route on 15th Nov. And this airline company plans to apply the Wi-Fi trial in flights of Beijing-Shanghai route soon.
With the in-flight Wi-Fi service, the passengers can enjoy film, music, book bar, travel information, shopping, hotel, car rental, and the like on the plane. The Wi-Fi access is free by the moment. And yet cell phone is still required to be turned off for safety reason.
Air China also is working on establishing ground-to-air telecommunication, which is expected to be realized early next year and the fee for this service should not be low as well.
