Xiamen-Shenzhen High-speed Train Service Started on 28th December 2013

Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed train has been put into operation on 28th Dec. 2013. The 502-km line covers two cities of Fujian Province (Xiamen, Zhangzhou) and 6 cities of Guangdong Province (Chaozhou, Shantou, Jieyang, Shanwei, Huizhou and Shenzhen). With a designed speed of 200 km/h, the line cuts the transfer between Xiamen and Shenzhen from 11 hours to 2.5 hours. For the whole transfer, the first class seat takes RMB 181 and second class seat RMB 150.5.
Thanks to the operation of Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed railway, it takes less than 8 hours to train from Fujian province to Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Nanchang, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, etc, which greatly facilitates the transfer between Fujian and Hong Kong area.
