Xian-Chengdu High-speed Rail To Open on December 6th 2017

Xian-Chengdu high-speed rail is scheduled to open on December 6th. With a designed speed of 250 km/h, the fastest train can complete the whole over-600-km journey around 4 hours, greatly shortening current 16-hour regular train travel time.
Xian-Chongqing high-speed rail will start service at the same time and is expected to shorten the transfer between these two cities to about 5 hours from the present 13 hours.
