China Pavilion, named Oriental crown, perfectly embodies the China tradition and image in the uses of the Dougong (a Chinese traditional structural component of interlocking wooden brackets) and the stately Gugong Red, (representing happiness, prosperity and the spirit of China). This giant architecture has stored the essence of China history over 5,000 year in its three exhibition halls.
In the Footprint of the East, the main part of the display on the top floor, you can watch an 8-minute poetic-style film on the giant multi-media theatre depicting the wisdom of the Chinese people in the urban development over the past three decades. Your history journey continues in the painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival drawing a scene in the prosperous city of Bianjing, the present Kaifeng of China Henan Province. Modern multimedia technology injects more life to the painting, in which more than 1,500 characters can walk and move.
Journey of Wisdom on the second floor, many aspects of the wisdom of the Chinese are in store via harmonious relationship between rural and urban areas in the projector screen, China feature construction samples along the cable car ride, treasured exhibit relics related to China's four great inventions (the compass, paper, printing and gunpowder).
The Blooming City Hall focuses on how the Chinese face the future urbanization challenge and come up with the sustainability resolution with their wisdom.
Tips: China Pavilion is expected to receive over 50,000 visitors per day. Pavilion visit should be made by appointment only. The visit group can call for the appointment while the individual visitor makes the appointment on the machine with the help of the staff on the spot and only one pavilion can be reserved per day. After the appointment, you can enter the pavilion through the appointment passage in the specific time and the queue won't be over 1 hour.
