Dozens of Africa countries and organizers have united to build the Joint African Pavilion as a window for the world to understand the today's Africa and a cooperation bond with the Africa counterparts and the rest of world. The environmental-friendly facade of the pavilion depicts a stretching sponge tree symbolizing the origin of human life and Silhouettes of animals, deserts and a city skyline displaying the range of African landscapes to signify that Africa is a continent full of hope and vigor rather than poverty and despair.
