The pavilion is mainly made of wood, and most of the construction material is recyclable to demonstrate the philosophy of environmental friendliness. Its exterior walls are patterned like a traditional paper cut-out and are illuminated from within. The inner solid walls of the pavilion function as screens, on which scenes of Polish city life are projected.
The music of Poland's Frederic Chopin (1810-49) is also played for 2010 is the bicentennial anniversary birthday of this great musician. To commemorate this, a Chopin concert is scheduled during the Expo at Shanghai Grand Theater on May 22, Poland Pavilion's pavilion day. During the Expo exhibition, Chopin's music is performed in rock or pop styles to let visitors dance in the pavilion.
Puppet Night and Dragon dances of both Chinese and Polish style are also worth seeing.
