Saudi Arabia, rich in Islamic flavors, is in a "moon boat" shape and symbolizes the Marine Silk Road sailing from China to the West.
The first floor of the pavilion houses a garden flourishing with both Chinese and Saudi trees, a symbol of the friendship between these two nations. 150 date palms, with a special meaning to this desert country, are planted on the pavilion roof. The exhibition hall hangs between the bottom and top of the moon ship. On the walls and the floors, calligraphies of both Chinese and Saudi Arabia are written and displayed via water curtain.
The pavilion's centerpiece is the "WA Space" with a huge cinema screen. As large as two football pitches, the 1,600 square-meter screen offers you the new understanding of the ancient craft and culture of Saudi Arabia via the broader view angle.
