Spain Pavilion takes the shape of a hand-weaved wicker basket strengthened with the steel structure and its façade is decorated to be Chinese calligraphy. Covered by the water-proof material, wickers of different colors are weaved out in different patterns and immerse the pavilion in the natural light at a comfortable temperature. This reinterpretation of this traditional material has well displayed the inheritance and innovation of the Spaniard.
The evolution from savage history to today's civilization and toward the dream future can be glimpsed at the three theme exhibits: "From nature to city", "from our parents' city to our current one", and "from the current city to the future one".
The restaurant of authentic Spanish cuisines, souvenir stores, multi-functional theatre and business center can also be found in the pavilion.
