Day 1 Beijing

Once you arrive in Beijing, our experienced guide would pick you up and transfer you to the hand-picked hotel via the comfortable vehicle. Have a welcome dinner, rest in your cozy room or explore this legendary capital by yourself to maximize the moment in Beijing.

Day 2 Beijing

In the morning, we visit the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of Chinese architecture, used for religious sacrifice activities, but today it is a good place for locals' recreation. And if interested, you can join these friendly people. Ramble around the important city square--Tiananmen Square before exploring the Forbidden City which is rich in stories of political intrigue. In the afternoon you would learn how to draw the Beijing Opera mask under the private guidance of an experienced master and learn rich Chinese culture behind this small mask. If time is still available, you could fulfill your shopping will and train your bargain sense by visiting the shopping street. At night you will enjoy the Beijing Opera to see how much you have learned in the afternoon mask lesson.

Day 3 Beijing

We will visit Mutianyu Great--a less-visited and easily-accessible section of the Great Wall built for agricultural and martial purpose. It's quite out of breath during the wall climbing so round trip of the cable car is available.Take a cable car ride to experience the overview of the snaking Great Wall. Pay a visit to the nearby village where the residents are mainly the elder and children for the youth have left for big cities to find a good job. It is quite common in China now and you could know more about it by sharing experience in a local family. Drive to visit Olympic Stadiums--Water Cube and Bird's Nest. The delicious Peking duck will pamper your stomach after a whole day's touring. Today's tour is demanding, so please remember to wear your well broken in footwear to avoid the sore feet or blisters.

Day 4 Beijing - Taiyuan - Pingyao

On the rickshaw, tour fast-disappearing Hutongs, stop by a courtyard to chat with its residents and make dumplings for lunch. Visit the Private Museum of the Old Beijingners' Stuffs in the Hutong trip to learn the past lifestyle of the Beijingners behind the old stuffs. Fly to Taiyuan and transfer to Pingyao.

Day 5 Pingyao - Xi'an

Embark on your half a day of exploration in the Pingyao Ancient Town. Pamper your taste buds with the local delicacies along the Mingqing Street. Roam on the ancient City Wall and bumpy cobblestone roads impressed with uneven trace by rich and long history. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the surrounding. The former wealthy residence--the Qiao Family's Compound deserves your exploration. Make a night train ride to Xi'an.

Day 6 Xi'an

Banpo Museum unveils you the ancestors' life that had originated long before the Terracotta Warriors'. Dig more about the Terracotta Warrior by visiting the museum and watching a short film of uncovering it. The following is to explore Shaanxi History Museum to sense the culturally weight of Xi'an. Then we go to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda to have a bird's eye view and sample the famous cuisine of Xi'an--the dumpling banquet.

Day 7 Xi'an - Luoyang

Head to Luoyang via a 350-km-per-hour high speed train. Page through the heavy history created by the 25 emperors of Zhou Dynasty (since 770 BC) in Zhou Wangcheng Tianzi Jialiu Museum. The historical marks can also be seen in the Luoyang old town from its winding old streets, city god temple and old drum tower.

Day 8 Luoyang neighborhood - Shanghai

Tour Longmen Grottos that was distinguishingly carved into the cliff walls on the banks of the river, representing the peak of Buddhist cave art in China. Then drive to the Shaolin Temple, the birthplace of Chinese Kung Fu. It's a good place for you see for yourself what real Kong Fu is like and you may have a lesson of some basic Kong Fu actions under guidance's of a master. Fly to Shanghai and check into your hotel.

Day 9 Shanghai

Tour the Shanghai Museum and the World Financial Center to embrace the whole Shanghai in your eye. Visit the tranquil Longhua Temple and try the healthy delicious vegetarian dishes. Visit the market and Temple of the Town Gods. Indulge yourself in the dizzying varieties of Shanghai specialties and snacks in the temple market. Roam about the Yuyuan Garden to appreciate exquisiteness of the art master in the ancient time. Let the jaw-dropping acrobatic show inject more daring feeling into your today's trip.

Day 10 Shanghai

Have fun in a Shanghainese's family visit : buying dish materials in the local markets, cooking them under the guidance of the host and immersing yourself in the community activities.

Day 11 Depart Shanghai

Jump on the maglev train (luxury seat) for your homeward plane at lightning speed!
