Day 1 Beijing

Once arriving in Beijing, you will be met by your experienced private guide transferred to your hotel. A brief orientation for the upcoming China trip will await you. Have a good rest to shake off your jetlag.

Day 2 Beijing

Be an early bird to watch or join in the morning exercises of the energetic locals in Temple of Heaven. Make a brief stop at Tiananmen Square before you explore the imperial Forbidden City, one of China's premiere historical attractions. Under the exclusive guidance of an old artist, you could learn and paint on Beijing Opera mask in the afternoon. At night enjoy your Beijing Opera over tea, a perfect chance to review your opera mask knowledge.

Day 3 Beijing

Your private tour starts from one of China's magnificent structures--Great Wall at Mutianyu--the less-crowed and easily-accessible section of the Great Wall and includes an overlooking view on the cable car (Round trip). Visit a nearby village and savor a freshly prepared homemade lunch in a local family. Appreciate an unrestored section of the Great Wall in a distance or if interested, you can climb to experience firsthand this pristine section. Drive to the Water Cube (Olympic Aquatics Center) and Bird's Nest (National Stadium) to recall the splendid occasion--Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Pamper your taste buds and stomach with the crisp and juicy Peking duck in a famous local restaurant. Today's tour is demanding, so please remember to wear your well broken in footwear to avoid the sore feet or blisters.

Day 4 Beijing - Xi'an

Immerse yourself in a local flower and pet market, Guanyuan Market (or visit Panjiayuan Market at weekend--a market to test your good eye for the nice stuffs). Grasp the chance to start your fast-vanishing hutongs trip on the rickshaw and have a home visit in a courtyard. The private museum hidden in the hutong will unveil to you the former Beijingners' lifestyle. Fly to Xi'an. Your private tour guide and driver will pick you up and accompany you to your hotel. And it is also a good choice and free for you to go to enjoy the Giant Music Fountain (optional) nearby the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Day 5 Xi'an

The trip to the Banpo Museum will show you the life state of the ancestors that had originated longer than the Terracotta Warriors'. In addition to the vivid Terracotta army, you can also watch a short film of uncovering those warriors in the museum. Learn about the history of Xi'an as a capital of ten dynasties in the Shaanxi History Museum. Then we calm our mind in the lingering incense of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and climb up to have an overview of the area. Indulge yourself in a dumpling banquet to enjoy your another good chance of challenging and enhancing your chopstick use when dealing with the slippery dumplings.

Day 6 Xi'an - Guilin

Ride the bike along the broad City Wall, bathed in the welcoming sunshine or showers. The Great Mosque located in Muslim Quarter, along with the Gao's Courtyard--a former wealthy residence, shelters you from the tumultuous bazaar. A "shadow puppet" play with traditional music will be on at the Gao's courtyard. Say goodbye to Xi'an and fly to next famous touring city--Guilin. A night stroll along the Li River will be a good prelude to the Guilin trip and highly recomended after you settle down in your hotel.

Day 7 Guilin - Yangshuo

Embark on your fascinating Li River cruise to Yangshuo. Get lost in the picturesque scenery while you may see the cormorants are fishing at their master's signals. Then you are at leisure to explore after disembarking to see for yourself about what the real life of the locals looks like.

Day 8 Yangshuo - Shanghai

On your bike, you can get lost in the idyllic rural countryside and say hello to the buffalo on the way to a local primary school where the pupils yearn for foreign contact. Take a night flight to Shanghai and settle down in your hotel to have a good rest to get ready for the next day exploration.

Day 9 Shanghai

First stop of Shanghai is to visit the Shanghai Museum and then the new Shanghai landmark--the World Financial Center to have a bird' eye view of Shanghai. Savor the vegetarian dishes Longhua Temple that trick your buds to believe that they are made out of meat. Take a wander down to the Temple of the Town Gods and Yuyuan Garden, a garden full of exquisiteness for your detailed eye. For restoring energy for the following tour, spoil yourself with the dizzying varieties of Shanghai specialties and snacks in the temple market nearby Temple of the Town Gods. A jaw-dropping acrobatic show will end today's trip.

Day 10 Shanghai

Taste the life of Shanghainese fo half a day in a host family by visiting the local markets and see for yourself about the original material of the cuisines you will cook under the guidance of your host family and bargaining with the vendors, observing the bargaining way or learning the Chinese bargaining words. Engage yourself in the local community activities.

Day 11 Shanghai

Bid a farewell to Shanghai and your China trip. Take the spanking-new maglev train (luxury seat) for your departing plane at lightning speed!
