Day 1 Beijing

On your arrival in Beijing, you will be met and escorted to your hotel by your private guide. Enjoy a welcome dinner, and then take a good rest to recover from jetlag.

Day 2 Beijing

Get up early to join the locals who are doing morning exercise in the Temple of Heaven and begin your dream trip with full of energy. Then wander around the Tiananmen Square before entering the Forbidden City. Stay a bit longer in the magnificent and old place to learn about the country's history. Go on discovering Chinese traditional cultures, you can try to draw a Beijing Opera Mask under a folk artisan's guide. Time permitting; you can visit the shopping street to pick up some unique things. Don't forget to bargain. In the evening, appreciate Beijing Opera over tea to end up a wonderful day.

Day 3 Beijing

To avoid the large crowd, we choose the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. On the round-trip cable car, you can see the Great Wall snaking across the mountain ridges and get amazed at the man-made wonder. Savor a tasty farmhouse meal and have a chance to see the unrepaired section of Great Wall in a nearby country. If interested, you can even climb on it with your guide. On the way back, you will visit the 2008 Olympic stadiums- Bird's Nest (National Stadium) and Water Cube (National Aquatics Center).Tonight enjoy the famous Peking duck which may win your compliment. Today's tour is demanding, so please remember to wear your well broken in footwear to avoid the sore feet or blisters.

Day 4 Beijing - Xi'an

In the morning, we pay a visit to a local flower and pet market -- Guanyuan Market (or visit the Panjiayuan Market at weekend -- a market to test your good eye for the second-hand stuffs). After that, we cross through the fast-vanishing Hutongs, chat with the residents to get a glimpse into the ordinary life of Beijingners and engage in their dumpling making activity. The Private Museum of the Old Beijingners'Stuffs in the Hutong trip will unveil to you the past lifestyle of the Beijingners. It is time to end your Beijing travel and fly to another ancient capital--Xi'an. An optional visit to the Giant Music Fountain near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda is recommended if you want to make the most of the brief time in Xi'an.

Day 5 Xi'an

The trip to the Banpo Museum reveals the life of ancestors which had existed long before the Terracotta Warriors. Besides get close to the amazing Terracotta armies in the museum, you can also watch a short film depicting the history and secrets of the site. Tour the Shaanxi History Museum to learn about the long history of Xi'an. Then we climb the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for collecting Buddhism classics. Experience the diet culture of Shaanxi with a dumpling banquet. You must be marveled at the different shapes and tastes of dumplings. Enjoy it.

Day 6 Xi'an - Chengdu

Say goodbye to Xi'an and fly to Chengdu. Make your memorable visit to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding where you can get a close contact with adorable pandas. For lunch, wake your taste buds by the spicy Sichuan cuisines. If it's too hot and spicy, just drink tea in an open-air tea house to peruse the marrow of Chengdu people's life. The rest day is free for your exploration. Face changing -- one of the unique Chengdu art shows - awaits you in the evening.

Day 7 Chengdu - Lijiang

Learn the past of Chengdu through Jinsha Ruins and Wuhou Temple. And grasp the opportunity to taste the red-hot Sichuan Cuisines before fly to Lijiang.

Day 8 Lijiang

A visit to the Visitor's Center for Nature and Culture of Northwest Yunnan may leave your green contribution to the beautiful town. Take the Large Cable Car (Round trip) on the sacred Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and immerse in the white world. Drive to the Baisha town to appreciate the mural paintings, a unique form of arts that has integrated diverse religions. Chat and make friends with a local family to have an in-depth view of locals'life. Enjoy the authentic Naxi Ancient Music listed as intangible cultural heritage in the quiet evening.

Day 9 Lijiang

A scenic drive through the beautiful Lashi Lake and Stone Drum Village, you can witness the mighty work of the nature on the First Bend of Yangtze River (part route of the central Red Army Long March) and the awestruck Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Day 10 Lijiang - Kunming - Shanghai

Fly to Shanghai. After checking in your hotel, we'll visit the Temple of Town Gods. Indulging yourself in the dizzying variety of Shanghai food specialties and snacks in a market near the temple will give you the energy to explore Yuyuan Garden. This is a garden full of exquisiteness for your picky eye. The rest of the day is free time for you to get around. The bund, the Nanjing Road, Huaihai Road and Xintiandi, any of them is a good choice for you to wander around.

Day 11 Shanghai

Be a Shanghainese in a host family. You can buy materials of the cuisines you want to eat in a local market and cook some Chinese food under the guidance of your host family. Tour the Shanghai Museum and the new Shanghai landmark -- the World Financial Center to have an all-embracing view of Shanghai. A stunning and incredible acrobatic show will end today's trip.

Day 12 Farewell

Enjoy your last half day of Shanghai and China. Then take the maglev train (the fastest train in the world) for your departing plane at lightning speed.
