Day 1 Beijing

On your arrival in Beijing, you will be met by your private guide and escorted to your hotel. A welcome dinner and a brief orientation for the later China trip will await you once you settle down.

Day 2 Beijing

The first stop of Beijing is the Temple of Heaven, a location for the ancient emperors to worship Gods and pray for good harvest. In the temple, you could see the local doing lots of different exercises and you could join in them to learn Taichi so as to get more prepared for your upcoming Beijing adventure. A brief stop at Tiananmen Square may help you know better about some important events of China. Your long exploration will be in the imperial Forbidden City. Under the guidance of an experienced master, you could try your hand at drawing the Beijing Opera mask which at the end you could bring home as a unique souvenir of Beijing trip. If time permits, you can ramble along the shopping street to hunt for some special souvenirs. Go over your mask drawing knowledge when you watch the Beijing Opera over tea.

Day 3 Beijing

Climb the Great Wall at Mutianyu -- the less-crowed and easily-accessible section for getting you a better view and enhancing the impression by taking the cable car (Round trip). Pay a visit to the nearby village and savor a tasty farmhouse meal with the view of an unrestored section of Great Wall in a distance. You can climb with your private guide to experience it if you like. Visit the Olympic stadiums - the combination of the art and technology-- Bird's Nest (National Stadium) and Water Cube (National Aquatics Center). Then feast on the crisp Peking duck that lives up to its delicious reputation. Today's tour is demanding, so please remember to wear your well broken in footwear to avoid the sore feet or blisters.

Day 4 Beijing - Xi'an

Experience a normal morning as the local people who always visit the local flower and pet market--Guanyuan Market (or visit Panjiayuan Market at weekend – a flea market where fulfills with good stuffs waiting for your picky eye). Peek at the ordinary life of Beijingners by Hutong rickshaw shuttling through the fast-vanishing Hutongs, and the Private Museum of the Old Beijingners' Stuffs in the Hutong trip will exhibit you some old stuff to learn about the past lifestyle of the Beijingners. It is time to end your Beijing stop and take a flight to Xi'an. Make a free visit to the Giant Music Fountain(optional) near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda if you want to experience a Xi'an different from that in the daytime.

Day 5 Xi'an

Have an ancient history tour in the Banpo Museum. The amazing Terracotta armies and a short film of discovering them will help you dig more behind those terracotta figures. Visit the Great Mosque in Muslim Quarter where you can be immersed in the muslim atmosphere. We'll see exhibitions of period furniture, paintings, pottery, porcelain, photos and demonstrations of folk art, including a "shadow puppet" play with traditional music in Gao's courtyard. After that, we will climb the Big Wild Goose Pagoda to get a bird eye view of Xi'an city. In the afternoon, ride a CO2-free bike on the City Wall that encircles Xi'an. In the end you will be welcomed by the unique dish of Xi'an --the dumpling banquet to challenge and enhance you chopstick skill when handling the slippery dumplings for dinner.

Day 6 Xi'an - Shanghai

Fly and say hi to Shanghai. Visit one of the city icons -- Temple of the Town Gods. Satisfy yourself with Shanghai specialties and snacks in temple market. Roam around the tranquil Yuyuan Garden to discover its ubiquitous exquisiteness. An incredible acrobatic show will pamper your eye and heart.

Day 7 Shanghai - Huangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain)

Appreciate the Shanghai Museum known for its rich collections and special structure. Stand on the top floor of the World Financial Center to have an all-embracing view of Shanghai. Visit the tranquil Longhua Temple and try the healthy vegetarian dishes. Visit a Shanghainese's home and chat with them over tea to know about the ordinary Shanghai lifestyle and you can engage yourself in some interesting local community activities. In the evening, take the maglev train (the fastest train in the world) in the luxury seat for the airport and fly to Huangshan City.

Day 8 Huangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain)

Take a cable car to the top or try to climb up. It's not the steepest or highest hill, but does have some breathtaking views and scenery. On your way up, you'll enjoy the oddly-shaped pines, grotesque rock formation and cloud sea. Having checked into your hotel and finished lunch, you will visit the Guest-Greeting Pine, Brightness-Summit, and Flying-over-Rock. On the cliff, you can see the fence clustered around by locks to witness their romantic love. The air here is fresh and clean because of the abundant negative ions of oxygen, so indulge yourself in the natural oxygen bar. Today's tour is demanding, so please remember to wear your well broken in sneakers to avoid the sore feet or blisters.

Day 9 Huangshan City - Guangzhou

This morning, be an early bird to catch the Huangshan Mountain's magnificent sunrise. After breakfast, you will descend Huangshan Mountain and you'll see the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Lion Peak and Stone Monkey Gazing over the Sea of Clouds. In the afternoon, you will visit the villages of World Heritage Site --Hongcun and Xidi village. These two ancient villages are places where painters paint, mediators meditate and people come to seek solace. In the evening, fly to Guangzhou. Today's tour is demanding, so please remember to wear your well broken in footwear to avoid the sore feet or blisters.

Day 10 Guangzhou

First have Cantonese morning tea for your breakfast consiting of tasty dim sums and some delicacies as many Cantonese do. Then today's tour begins from the Yuexiu Park. It is the largest park in the downtown of Guangzhou and here you'll see the Five-Ram Sculpture -- the symbol of the city. Make a visit to the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. It's dedicated to the founder of the Republic of China and local hero Dr. Sun Yat-Sen. After lunch, you will begin a tour from original Xiguan Architecture. At the end of the Ming dynasty, huge residences and homes for business men and officials have flourished here. These buildings (Xiguan Grand Old House) are great examples of traditional Cantonese architecture. You'll go to the Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street which is also a showcase of traditional Cantonese architecture.

Day 11 Hong Kong

Take a train to Hong Kong. Lively Hong Kong is an enticing international city with the flavour of modern China.

An entire day is free for you to explore Hong Kong.


Day 13 Depart Hong Kong

Bid farewell to Hong Kong and your China trip.
