Our tour guide will meet you at your Chengdu downtown hotel at around 8:00am (or your convenient time) and have a 2-hour driving to tour Grand Buddha.

Leshan Giant Buddha towers on the east bank of Mingjiang River in Leshan City of Sichuan Province. This carving project was begun in 713 and led by a Buddhist monk called Haitong with the hope that the Buddha's presence would subdue the swift currents and protect the boatmen.

After visiting this giant Buddha, we will head for Mt. Emei to visit the Baoguo Temple and then transfer to your hotel.

Take a sightseeing car with your guide to Leidongping bus station and a cable car to Golden Summit for sightseeing; if weather is fair, you could capture the magnificent cloud sea, or Buddha's halo. Later, you will take the cable car to the Wannian Temple which houses a large copper statue of Bodhisattva Puxian on a white elephant and some traditional architecture. The beamless brick hall has survived 18 earthquakes in the past 400 years.

When you come to the spot--Qingyin Pavilion (Pure Sound Pavilion), the exquisite pavilion, red pagoda, stone bridge, roaring stream, bees and butterflies busy among dense flowers and grass unveil you a vivid and colorful painting.

Continue the tour to the strip skyline (Yixiantian) and the Eco Monkey Area. Transfer back to your hotel in Chengdu after a 2.5-hour driving.
