The thoughtful intricate-carvings interior contrasting with the simple exterior of black tiled roof and white walls deserves a closer and throughout exploration to find out the hidden Chinese ancestors' life wisdom. Then drive to Hongcun, a stronghold for another wealthy Wang clan. Here a leisure village stroll can be rewarded with the idyllic portrait of bridges, lakeside views, winding lanes and old traditional halls. The village's original ox-shape water system, flushing water through the village for the purpose of the fire-proofing and irrigating again exemplifies the ancient locals' life intelligence.
