Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway Laid Track on 19th July

The lay-track project of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway started on 19th July, 2010. The 1,318-km railway is estimated to be put into operation by 2012 and realizes the less-than-5-hour transfer between these two cities. The railway with investment of over 220 billion RMB stretches from Beijing South Railway Station to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station.
