Shenzhen Futian HSR Station Opened End 2015

Published on December 31, 2015 by Barbara

Guangzhou-Shenzhen Futian and Chengdu-Chongqing intercity high-speed rails have opened by the end of 2015.

The Futian railway station in Shenzhen CBD, which is said to be the Asia's largest underground railway station, is on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway. When Shenzhen-Hong Kong section opens, Shenzhen passengers could reach Hong Kong in 15 minutes via Futian railway station. By then, passengers from Guangzhou could reach Hong Kong within 30 minutes.

The recently opened Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed rail also shortens the transfer between these two cities to 1.5 hours in its initial operation.
