China High-speed Trains are Reduced in Speed and Number

According to the China railway department announcement, the speed and number of the high speed trains are reduced step by step from 16th August. Beijing-Tianjin, Hainan East Ring, Guangzhou-Zhuhai, Shanghai-Hangzhou are the first three high-speed lines decelerating from 350 km/h to 300 km/h. The number of Beijing-Shanghai and Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed trains reduced by 22 trains from original daily 88 to 66. From 28th August, almost all high-speed and fast trains in China will be decelerated to different extents.
