Dali-Lijiang freeway officially opened on 30th December 2013 after the four-year construction had been completed. The 259-km freeway shortens the transfer between Dali and Lijiang from 4 hours to 2 hours while it also will well ease the traffic condition on this route. With the newly-opened freeway, the passengers can finish the whole trip of Kunming and Lijiang in 6.5 hours.
