Fuel Surcharge of Domestic Flights will be Resumed

Responding to the price increase of petroleum products, domestic aviation kerosene price is raised by 320CNY per ton. NDRC (National Development and Reform Committee) stated that domestic flights will resume fuel surcharge fee after this price adjustment. It is said that aviation kerosene hold the biggest proportion in the cost of an airline company, e.g. it accounts for 40% of the total cost of the domestic air companies like Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and China Southern Airlines. Especially the China Southern Airlines, whose 80% of the air lines are domestic, becomes the biggest bearer in price adjustment of petroleum products.
