Highway into Motuo County Opened on 31st Oct

Motuo (Medog or Metok), located in the southeast part of Tibet, was the only county in China that was inaccessible by road. The local harsh weather and rains and poor geological conditions had made it an extreme challenge to build a safe and convenient road connecting Motuo to the outside world. But such isolated situation has finally been ended by the official operation of Motuo highway on 31st October. Following the operation, more energy and technique devotions are still required for the road maintenance.
