Potala Palace Requires Visit Reservation until 31st October

Potala Palace carries out visit reservation policy from 1st May to 31st October. A maximum of 4,000 visitors a day is allowed to the site. July and August are busy travel months in Tibet, so tourists that have Potala visit plan during this period are advised to buy entrance ticket and make visit reservation on Potala Place official website (http://www.potalapalace.cn/). Visitors can also go to the Potala Palace ticket reservation points during 08:00-17:00 to make visit reservation for next day visit. With the reservation invoice, visitors can then purchase the entrance ticket at main gate and enter Potala Palace during the appointed visit time.
