Rebuilt Xian South Gate Arrow Tower to Open October 2013

The rebuilding project on the arrow tower at the south gate has started this October. The replica tower will use the light-weight materials so as to keep its original look while also being safer and lighter. It is expected to complete and open on 1st October 2013.
The tower with dense arrow holes used to serve as a lookout and shooting spot and was destroyed in a war in 1926.
