The theme--Balancity permeates the Germany Pavilion. To realize the goal of better life in a better city, the Germany Pavilion has challenged its creative limits.
The pavilion firmly stands in balance with the support of four hovering exhibition structures. Its netted and breathable façade layer can shelter the pavilion from the sun heat and greatly share the intensity of the air conditioners during the summer expo session. And the façade layer can be recycled and used in the sky shade or bags after the expo event.
In the pavilion, you can start your balance journey. Pass through the maze-like area, you can walk or ride an escalator to travel the distinct layouts of the themed city sections. Like the pulsating tunnel unfolding you an azure bubbling and shining Underwater World. If you want to experience the world above the water, an escalator will bring you to the Hamburger Harbor that is lively with the sunshine, blue sky, flying seagulls and the charming architectures cluster as well as the busy port trading. Then pass through the garden, office building, park, archives, opera, and at last process to the core section of the pavilion--a cone room with a huge sphere that can respond to movements and loud calls of the two teams of the visitors by changing the images and colors of its LED surface. With the sound, the sphere starts to sway back and forth. Then it becomes still and an image of the earth arises and a seed generates and blooms.
