The Nepal Pavilion takes the shape of the ancient Buddhist temple in Kathmandu and unveils defining historic moments of the city under the theme of "Tales of Kathmandu City. To capture the soul of a city by exploring its past and future, the pavilion displays the luster of Katmandu, the capital city of Nepal and an architectural, artistic and cultural hub that has developed over 2,000 years.
Nepal's efforts in environmental protection and developing renewable energies are also highlighted in the pavilion.
During specified time of the 2010 World Expo, visitors can pay their respects to the true relic of the Buddha Sakyamuni enshrined at the heart of the pagoda in the Nepal Pavilion.
