Swiss Pavilion offers the visitors a surprise journey under the theme--"Rural-urban interaction", involving the interdependence and common development between town and country and emphasizing the perfect balance of human, nature and technology.
The Red Facade, as one of the highlights, is a curtain mainly made from soybean-fibre and can be greenly dissolved. Connected by a revolving chair lift system, a vast planted roof and two load-bearing cylinders together make up the structure of the building.
Along a ramp and the exhibition area, visitors can learn in the three-dimensional images about the Swiss innovation and sustainability achievement in 3D screens. Experience the bustling city life in the urban area on the ground floor where a multifunctional stage, a shop, and a restaurant under the urban setting. Swiss mountain scenery magnificence will be displayed in the giant projection screen in the atrium. The Swiss Pavilion Tour will be illuminated by an eight-minute chair lift tour which shifts the visitors from the busy city up to a natural paradise roof that is covered by a green meadow, abundant with plants and flowers and echoes with relaxing sounds from nature.
